개인정보 처리방침

My Butler는 남기신 기록을 정리해 두었다가 때맞춰 목소리로 알려 주는 비서 앱입니다. 그 일에 필요한 것만 다루고, 광고나 이용 분석 도구는 하나도 넣지 않았습니다.

폰 밖으로 보내지 않는 것

건강 앱의 원래 측정값(심박 하나하나 같은 것) · 주소록의 이름과 번호 원문 · 정밀한 위치 · 사진에 들어 있는 촬영 위치(사진은 올리기 전에 지웁니다) · 광고 식별자 · 고르지 않은 달력.

붙이신 문서·소리·영상 파일은 받은 그대로 올립니다. 파일 안에 위치 같은 정보가 들어 있으면 그대로 함께 저장됩니다.

2. 기록과 AI 정리

기록을 남기면 AI 가 종류(일정·할 일·먹은 것·약·운동 등)와 시각을 정리합니다. 저장하기 전에 결과를 보여 드립니다.
사진과 문서는 구독하신 경우 AI 가 내용을 읽습니다.
아침·일정 전·저녁의 브리핑과 제안, 비서에게 묻기는 최근 14일의 기록과 나에 대한 요약을 함께 봅니다.
말로 기록할 때 받아 적기는 폰 안에서 먼저 합니다. 폰에 그 언어의 받아 적기 기능이 없으면 폰 회사(애플·구글)의 받아 적기 서버를 거칠 수 있습니다. 녹음 자체는 저희 서버로 보내지 않습니다 — 다만 아래 7장의 말소리 모으기를 켜신 경우에는 그 소리도 함께 갑니다.
비서가 나에 대해 적어 둔 요약은 앱의 나 화면에서 보고 고치거나 지울 수 있습니다.

3. 건강 정보 — 민감정보로, 따로 동의를 받습니다

건강 앱(아이폰 건강, 안드로이드 헬스 커넥트)은 읽기만 합니다. 읽기 전에 무엇이 어디로 가는지 알려 드리고 따로 동의를 받습니다. 동의하지 않아도 기록·달력·알림은 그대로 쓸 수 있습니다.

무엇을: 최근 8일의 날짜별 숫자 요약 — 걸음 수, 운동 시간, 수면 시간, 안정 시 심박, 심박 변이도, 몸무게, 혈압, 혈당 — 과 그 앞 7일 평균.
어떻게: 요약은 폰에서 만듭니다. 원래 측정값은 폰을 떠나지 않습니다.
언제: 브리핑·제안·묻기를 할 때만 함께 보내고, 서버에 저장하지 않습니다.
그만두기: 앱의 나 → 건강 앱 → 동의 철회하기. 그 뒤로는 보내지 않습니다.
폰 안에서만 하는 것: 평소와 다른 점(어젯밤 잠이 평소보다 적다, 늘 적던 기록이 며칠째 없다 같은 것)을 알아채 먼저 말을 거는 기능은 폰 안에서만 셈합니다. 이것 때문에 서버로 더 보내는 것은 없습니다. 끄려면 나 → 먼저 말 걸기. 이 기능은 다르다는 것만 말하고 병이나 상태를 판단하지 않습니다.

기록을 보내기 전에 따로 동의를 받습니다. 기록에는 약·몸 상태 같은 민감한 내용이 들어갈 수 있어서, 처음 기록을 서버·AI로 보내기 전에 무엇을·어디로·얼마나 보내는지 보여 드리고 동의를 받습니다 (건강 앱 동의와는 별개). 동의하지 않으시면 기록은 이 폰에만 남고 서버로 가지 않습니다. 동의는 나 → 기록을 서버·AI로 보내기에서 언제든 거둘 수 있고, 그때 서버에 있는 사본도 지울 수 있습니다.

4. 위치

동네 수준(소수점 둘째 자리, 약 1km)으로만, 앱을 쓰는 동안만 봅니다. 배경 위치는 쓰지 않습니다.
마지막 위치를 폰에 24시간 기억해 두고, 알람이 울리기 직전 같은 때에 씁니다.
쓰임: 날씨, 일정 장소까지 걸리는 시간과 나설 시각, 주변 장소 찾기, 알람 문장.
서버는 받은 위치로 아래 9장의 서비스에 묻기만 하고, 저장하지 않습니다.
다만 장소 고르기 화면의 지도 그림은 폰이 Mapbox 에서 직접 받습니다 — 이때 폰의 IP 주소와 보고 있는 지도 범위가 Mapbox 로 갑니다. 입력한 장소 이름을 주소·좌표로 바꾸는 일은 폰에 들어 있는 기능(아이폰은 Apple, 안드로이드는 Google)이 합니다.

5. 달력

비서는 고르신 달력만 읽습니다. 서버로는 일정의 제목·시작과 끝·종일 여부·장소만 보내고, 메모와 참석자는 보내지 않습니다.
일정을 넣거나 옮기거나 지우는 일은 확인을 누르신 뒤에만 합니다.
알람 설정의 문장을 지을 때 쓸 것 → 오늘 일정을 켜면, 폰의 달력에서 오늘 남은 일정 가운데 가까운 3개의 제목과 시각을 알람 문장에 씁니다.

6. 목소리 녹음 — 민감정보로 다룹니다

녹음 단추를 누르기 전에 무엇이 기록되고 어디로 가는지 알려 드리고 따로 동의를 받습니다.
자기 목소리만 등록할 수 있습니다. 남의 녹음을 올려 그 사람 목소리를 만드는 길은 없습니다.
녹음은 목소리를 만들 때 참고용으로만 씁니다. 여러 사람이 함께 쓰는 모델을 학습시키는 데 쓰지 않고, 팔거나 넘기지 않습니다. 아래 7장의 말소리 모으기에 따로 동의하신 경우에만, 그 동의 범위 안에서 그분 목소리를 더 낫게 내는 데 씁니다.
앱에서 목소리를 지우면 서버의 녹음 파일도 함께 지웁니다. 다만 이미 만들어져 폰에 내려간 소리는 되찾을 수 없습니다 — 지인의 폰에 있는 것도 그렇습니다.
지인의 목소리는 그 사람이 허락하고, 받는 쪽이 요청하고, 그 사람이 다시 수락해야 씁니다. 허락한 사람은 언제든 거둘 수 있고, 문제가 있으면 앱 안의 신고로 알려 주십시오.

7. 말소리 모으기 — 따로 동의하신 분만

기본은 꺼져 있습니다. 켜지 않으면 폰에도 서버에도 파일이 생기지 않습니다. 동의하지 않으셔도 앱의 모든 기능을 그대로 쓰실 수 있습니다.

무엇을 — 마이크 단추로 말씀하실 때의 소리(16kHz 모노)입니다. 물어보실 때뿐 아니라 말로 기록을 남기거나 알람을 거실 때도 해당합니다. 마이크 단추를 쓰지 않으시면 아무것도 모이지 않습니다.
소리와 함께 가는 것 — 알아들은 글, 녹음한 시각·길이·용량, 조각마다 매긴 번호와 같은 소리를 두 번 받지 않으려는 대조값, 인식에 쓴 언어와 인식기가 준 신뢰도(모르면 "모름"), 폰 안에서 알아들었는지 여부(모르면 "모름"), 마이크 종류(내장·유선·블루투스), 담은 방식, 폰의 운영체제 판과 앱 판입니다. 이름·번호·위치는 가지 않습니다.
무엇 때문에 — 서버가 그분 목소리로 알림을 읽을 때 더 그분답게 내기 위해서입니다. 그 목소리는 그분의 알림과 그분이 허락한 사람의 알림에 쓰입니다.
시작 조건 — 읽기 검사를 통과한 본인 목소리 등록이 있어야 켜집니다. 16세 이상 확인도 함께 받습니다.
어디에 — 대한민국(서울)의 전용 저장소에 전용 암호 열쇠로 잠가 둡니다. 다른 자료와 섞지 않습니다.
얼마나 — 서버에 올라간 조각은 하나하나가 12개월 뒤 자동으로 지워집니다. 계정당 하루 60조각, 통틀어 300분까지만 모읍니다.
폰에 잠깐 남는 것 — 아직 못 올린 조각은 폰 안에 최대 50개·20MB까지 기다립니다. 올라가면 폰에서 지워지고, 자리가 모자라면 오래된 것부터 버립니다. 동의를 거두시면 기다리던 것도 함께 지웁니다. 다만 인터넷에 오래 닿지 못하면 폰의 이 사본은 12개월보다 오래 남을 수 있습니다 — 앱에서 끄시면 곧바로 지워집니다.
동의·철회 기록은 따로 남습니다 — 언제 동의하고 언제 거두셨는지를 계정 번호·시각·동의문 판·언어·앱 판만 적어 3년 보관합니다(다툼이 생겼을 때 필요합니다). 계정을 지우셔도 이 기록은 남습니다. 여기에 소리나 알아들은 글은 들어가지 않습니다.
운영자가 들어 볼 화면이 없습니다 — 운영자 화면에는 숫자 다섯 개(동의한 사람 수, 조각 수, 시간, 용량, 오늘 올라온 수)만 나옵니다. 운영자가 소리를 듣거나 알아들은 글을 읽을 길을 만들어 두지 않았습니다. 본인은 앱에서 자기 조각의 목록과 알아들은 글을 볼 수 있습니다(소리는 내려받을 수 없습니다).
쓰기 전에 본인 확인 — 등록된 목소리와 견주어 다른 사람 목소리로 보이면 쓰지 않습니다.
하지 않는 것 — 여러 사람이 함께 쓰는 공용 모델 학습, 대한민국 밖 처리, 녹음 파일을 밖으로 내보내기. 셋 다 하지 않습니다.
언제든 거둘 수 있습니다 — 끄시면 그 자리에서 모으기가 멈추고, 이미 모인 것도 지웁니다. 등록해 둔 목소리와 허락 목록은 그대로 남습니다(그것은 따로 관리하십니다).
안드로이드 12 이하에서는 모으지 않습니다 — 그 판에서는 소리를 얻을 방법이 없습니다.

8. 전화번호와 주소록

번호 자체는 서버로 보내지 않고, 번호로 만든 64자 값만 보냅니다. 휴대폰 번호는 경우의 수가 많지 않아 이 값으로 원래 번호를 되짚는 것이 이론상 가능합니다. 그래서 이 값으로는 아무 권한도 생기지 않게 만들었습니다. 주소록은 권한 창이 뜨기 전에 알려 드리고, 지인을 찾을 때 보낸 값은 서버가 맞춰 보기만 하고 남기지 않습니다. 내 목소리를 열어 주려고 고른 사람의 값만 허락 목록으로 남습니다.

지도·날씨·검색 서비스에는 계정 번호나 이름을 보내지 않습니다. 받은 결과 가운데 뉴스 검색 결과만 3시간쯤 서버에 담아 두고, 계정과 묶지 않습니다.

10. 국외 이전 안내

기록의 AI 정리는 해외에서 처리될 수 있습니다. 서울에서 쓸 수 있는 최신 모델은 AWS 가 요청마다 처리할 나라를 고르는 방식으로만 제공됩니다. 그래서 처리되는 나라는 그때그때 다릅니다. 보관은 서울에서만 합니다.

원하지 않으시면: 건강 앱 동의를 하지 않거나 거두시고, 위치를 끄시면 해당 정보는 나가지 않습니다. 알람은 설정 → 적은 그대로 읽기를 켜면 알람의 글이 폰을 떠나지 않습니다. 기록은 나 → 기록을 서버·AI로 보내기에 동의하지 않거나 거두시면 서버·해외로 나가지 않습니다. 이때 기록의 AI 정리·브리핑·제안·묻기는 쓸 수 없습니다.

12. 이용자의 권리

언제든 보기·고치기·지우기·처리를 멈추기를 요구하실 수 있습니다. 기록과 나에 대한 요약은 앱에서 바로 보고 고치고 지울 수 있습니다. 그 밖의 요청은 아래 연락처로 주시면 지체 없이, 늦어도 10일 안에 처리합니다.

13. 지우는 방법

기록 하나: 기록을 지우면 서버의 그 기록과 붙인 사진·파일도 함께 지웁니다.
계정 전체: 앱의 나 → 설정 → 계정 → 계정 삭제. 서버의 기록·사진·파일·나에 대한 요약, 목소리와 계정을 모두 지웁니다. 되돌릴 수 없습니다. 다음은 계정을 지운 뒤에도 남습니다 — 동의 기록과 신고 내용(각 3년, 1·7장), 번호를 바꾸신 적이 있으면 옛 번호의 값(최대 1년), 지인이 목소리를 열어 준 목록 속 내 번호의 값(그 지인이 고칠 때까지).
앱이 없으면 계정·데이터 삭제 페이지를 보세요.

14. 어린이

이 앱은 만 14세 미만을 대상으로 하지 않으며, 그 나이의 정보를 일부러 모으지 않습니다. 모인 것을 알게 되면 지웁니다.

15. 안전하게 지키는 방법

오가는 내용은 모두 암호화(TLS)합니다. 목소리 녹음·사진·파일은 저장할 때도 암호화합니다. 계정 열쇠는 되돌릴 수 없는 형태로만 서버에 둡니다. 사진·파일은 공개되지 않고, 잠깐만 쓸 수 있는 주소로만 주고받습니다.

16. 바뀌면

이 방침이 바뀌면 이 페이지의 날짜를 고칩니다. 크게 바뀔 때는 앱 안에서도 알립니다.

My Butler is an assistant that keeps your notes and reminds you out loud at the right moment. We handle only what that requires. There are no advertising or analytics SDKs in this app.

What we do not send off the phone

Raw health measurements (such as individual heart-rate readings) · contact names and raw numbers · precise location · the location stored inside photos (removed before upload) · advertising identifiers · calendars you did not choose.

Documents, audio and video files are uploaded as they are. If a file contains information such as a location, it is stored with the file.

2. Notes and AI sorting

When you add a note, AI sorts its type (plan, to-do, meal, medicine, exercise…) and time. You see the result before it is saved.
With a subscription, AI also reads photos and documents.
Morning, before-event and evening briefings, suggestions and answers use your notes from the last 14 days and what the assistant knows about you.
Voice notes are transcribed on the phone first. If the phone cannot transcribe that language itself, speech may go to Apple’s or Google’s recognition service. The recording itself is not sent to our servers — unless you have turned on voice collection (section 7), in which case the audio is sent too.
Anything the assistant has noted about you can be viewed, edited or deleted on the Me screen.

3. Health information — sensitive, with separate consent

The app only reads your health app (Apple Health, Android Health Connect). Before it does, we explain what goes where and ask for separate consent. Without it, notes, calendars and reminders still work.

What: a per-day number summary for the last 8 days — steps, exercise minutes, sleep minutes, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, weight, blood pressure, blood glucose — and the 7-day average before that.
How: the summary is built on the phone. Raw measurements never leave it.
When: sent only with a briefing, suggestion or question, and not stored on the server.
To stop: in the app, Me → Health app → Withdraw consent. Nothing is sent after that.
On the phone only: noticing that something differs from your own usual (less sleep than usual last night, a habit you always logged that stopped) and speaking first about it is computed on the phone alone. Nothing extra is sent to our server for it. Turn it off in Me → Let the assistant speak first. It only says that something differs and never names a condition or illness.

We ask separately before sending your notes. Notes may contain sensitive details such as medicines or how you feel, so before any note is first sent to our server and AI we show what is sent, where and for how long, and ask for consent (separate from health-app consent). If you do not agree, notes stay only on this phone. You can withdraw anytime under Me → Send records to server & AI, and delete the copies already on the server.

4. Location

Only at neighbourhood level (two decimal places, about 1 km), and only while you use the app. No background location.
The last spot is remembered on the phone for 24 hours, for use for example just before an alarm.
Used for: weather, travel time and leave-time for events with a place, finding nearby places, alarm sentences.
The server only passes it to the services in section 9 and does not store it.
However, the map images on the place picker screen are fetched by your phone directly from Mapbox — your phone’s IP address and the map area you are viewing go to Mapbox. Turning a place name you type into an address and coordinates is done by your phone’s built-in service (Apple on iPhone, Google on Android).

5. Calendars

The assistant reads only the calendars you choose. It sends each event’s title, start and end, all-day flag and place — not notes or attendees.
It adds, moves or deletes events only after you confirm.
If you turn on What to use when writing → Today’s schedule in alarm settings, the titles and times of up to 3 upcoming events today from the phone’s calendars are used in alarm sentences.

6. Voice recordings — treated as sensitive

Before you press record we tell you what is captured and where it goes, and take a separate consent.
You may register only your own voice. There is no path to upload someone else’s recording and clone them.
The recording is used only as a reference when generating speech. We do not use it to train shared models, and we do not sell or transfer it. If you separately opt in to voice collection (section 7), we use it within that consent to make your own voice sound more like you.
Deleting the voice in the app also deletes the recording from the server. Audio already generated and downloaded to a phone cannot be recalled — including on a friend’s phone.
Using a friend’s voice requires their permission, your request, and their acceptance. The owner can revoke it at any time. Use the in-app report feature if something is wrong.

7. Voice collection — only if you opt in

It is off by default. Until you turn it on, no file is created on your phone or on the server. Declining costs you nothing — every feature of the app works the same.

What — the audio of what you say when you use the microphone button (16 kHz mono). That covers asking a question, but also leaving a note or setting an alarm by voice. If you never use the microphone button, nothing is collected.
What travels with the audio — the recognised text; the time, length and size of the recording; an identifier for each clip and a value used so the same recording is not accepted twice; the language used for recognition and the recogniser's confidence (or "unknown"); whether recognition ran on the phone (or "unknown"); the microphone type (built-in, wired, Bluetooth); how it was captured; and your phone's operating system version and the app version. Your name, phone number and location do not go with it.
Why — so that when the server reads your notices in your own voice, it sounds more like you. That voice is used for your own notices and for notices of people you have allowed.
Prerequisite — you must have registered your own voice and passed the read-back check. We also ask you to confirm you are 16 or older.
Where — in a dedicated store in the Republic of Korea (Seoul), locked with a dedicated encryption key, kept apart from other data.
How long — a clip on the server is deleted automatically after 12 months. We collect at most 60 clips a day per account, and 300 minutes in total.
What waits on your phone — clips not yet sent wait on the phone, up to 50 clips and 20 MB. They are removed once sent, and the oldest are dropped when the space runs out. Withdrawing consent deletes them too. Note that if the phone is offline for a long time this local copy can outlive the 12 months — turning the feature off in the app deletes it at once.
A record of your consent is kept separately — when you opted in and when you withdrew, with only the account identifier, the timestamps, the version of the consent text, the language and the app version, for three years (we may need it if there is a dispute). This record survives account deletion. It contains no audio and no recognised text.
Operators have no screen to listen on — the operator screen shows five numbers only (people opted in, clips, hours, size, clips uploaded today). We have not built any way for an operator to hear the audio or read the text. You yourself can see your own clip list and its recognised text in the app (the audio cannot be downloaded).
Speaker check before use — clips that do not match your registered voice are not used.
What we never do — train shared models used by other people, process the audio outside the Republic of Korea, or hand the recordings out.
You can withdraw at any time — collection stops immediately and what was collected is deleted. Your registered voice and your permission list stay as they are; you manage those separately.
On Android 12 and below we do not collect — that platform gives us no way to obtain the audio.

8. Phone numbers and contacts

We never send the number itself, only a 64-character value derived from it. Mobile number space is small, so it is theoretically possible to work back to the number. We therefore built the system so the value grants nothing. For contacts, we explain before the permission prompt, and the values sent to find friends are only compared by the server, not kept. Only the values of people you choose to share your voice with are kept, as your sharing list.

Map, weather and search services never receive your account id or name. Of their results, only news search results are cached on the server for about 3 hours, not linked to any account.

10. Cross-border transfer

AI processing of your notes may happen outside Korea. The current models available from Seoul are offered only in a mode where AWS picks the processing country for each request, so the country varies. Storage stays in Seoul.

If you do not want this: do not give (or withdraw) health consent and turn location off, and that information is not sent. For alarms, turn on Settings → Read exactly what I wrote and alarm text never leaves the phone. If you do not agree to (or withdraw) Me → Send records to server & AI, notes are not sent to the server or abroad; AI sorting, briefings, suggestions and questions then do not work.

12. Your rights

You may at any time ask to access, correct, delete, or stop the processing of your data. Notes and what the assistant knows about you can be viewed, edited and deleted directly in the app. For anything else, contact us below and we will act without delay and within 10 days at the latest.

13. How to delete

One note: deleting a note also deletes it and its photos and files from the server.
Everything: in the app, Me → Settings → Account → Delete account. This removes your notes, photos, files, what the assistant knows about you, your voice and your account from the server. It cannot be undone. The following remain after the account is deleted — consent records and reports (3 years each, sections 1 and 7), the value of an old number if you ever changed numbers (up to 1 year), and the value of your number in a friend’s list of people allowed to use their voice (until that friend edits it).
If you no longer have the app, use the account deletion page.

14. Children

This app is not directed at children under 14 and we do not knowingly collect their data. If we learn that we have, we delete it.

15. How we protect it

Everything in transit is encrypted (TLS). Voice recordings, photos and files are encrypted at rest. Account keys are stored only in an irreversible form. Photos and files are never public and are exchanged only through short-lived links.

16. Changes

If this policy changes we update the date on this page. Significant changes are also announced inside the app.
